| | Kahuna Board Riders,
Welcome to another newsletter from Kahuna Creations! We hope by now you are fully enjoying Kahuna board riding and are having as great of a season as the rest of us at Kahuna Creations. This has been a great month for us, and we would like to take the chance to let all of you know what's been happening at Kahuna Creations.
New Kahuna Longboard KC Introduces the Neon Orange Retro Fish This month, Kahuna Creations came out with its most retro board yet! It's a 48" neon orange retro fish inspired by a very old-school surfboard. This retro fish started as a wild idea to mix up production, only meant to be limited edition. However, the board received such good feedback we're officially making it part of the Kahuna family. We amped up production, and it's ready for anyone who wants a totally unique board. Check out the board here.
| Kahuna Board Rider: Chris van Bochove Representing in The Hague We feature a different Kahuna Board Rider every month. This month, we're taking a look at Chris van Bochove of The Hague, Netherlands. Chris was born in Aruba, lived most of his teen years in Bonaire, and is now working as a restaurant manager in The Hague. Chris has surfed, mountain biked, and skated since he was a kid and now rides the Haka Cruiser from Kahuna Creations. "With that background the Haka Cruiser fits me perfectly cruising down the pavements. Furthermost I am looking forward to having a Big Stick so I can rip the streets in style." Chris already has sweet style rocking the Haka Cruiser, but we are looking forward to hearing from him when he starts Land Paddling™.
| ESG and the Reno River Festival Racing in the Biggest Little City in the World This month's featured retail shop is Eastern Sierra Guiding (ESG). ESG offers kiteboarding and Stand up paddle lessons in the Reno/Tahoe area. The guys at ESG use the Kahuna Big Sticks for paddleboard cross training and do monthly Land Paddling demos. Last month, ESG took Land Paddling to the 7th annual 2010 Reno River Festival. The festival had over 20,000 spectators and athletes for the 2.5-mile obstacle course. Almost 1,000 runners competed in the race, and Eastern Sierra Guiding helped spectators and participants learn how to Land Paddle. The race was a ton of fun, especially since competitors had to run through a crazy amount of mud. The guys at the festival loved the Kahuna Big Stick. Travis is shown below throwing down the classic double-Big Stick, double-sweet back flip during the festival. | Join the Kahuna Ohana Consider yourself cordially invited to join the Kahuna family! Befriend us on Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter to be adopted by Kahuna Creations. While you're there get involved in the Kahuna board-riding community by adding pictures, videos, and comments. We love seeing our family grow and hope to see you as a part of it! | | Skateboarding California Video Product Review
Skateboarding California created an outstanding video review of the Kahuna Big Stick - Regular. They went into serious depth examining the Big Stick and show all the ins and outs of Land Paddling with the Kahuna Big Stick - Regular. This is one of the most thorough reviews the Big Stick has ever received, so we highly recommend taking a look at it if considering getting a Kahuna Big Stick - Regular.

| Fire Dept Gets Riding Ogden Fire Fighter Caught Land Paddling Possibly my favorite picture this month is this one of an ultra-rad firefighter riding with the Kahuna Big Stick. This Ogden City fire chief's Land Paddling skills are almost as impressive as his mustache. Right after riding here at Lorin Farr Park during his lunch break, he got a call and had to leave for duty. I'm sure the call was a success; I trust any fire fighter who knows how to Land Paddle!
| Tampa Bay Dragon Boat Races
Kahuna Longboards and Big Sticks made an appearance at the 7th annual Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Races in Tampa Bay, Florida. The races took place May 1st at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park. Over 60 company and community groups as well as individual paddlers from across America and Canada showed up to test their dragon boat skills. Tommy Kahuna and crew were at the event showing how Land Paddling is done. A lot of the professional dragon boat paddlers got on board and are stoked to start land paddling as part of their cross training. The event was a blast, and a lot of people felt the Kahuna love.
